This year was a year of integration, expansion and new stories of promise. Thanks to the generous support of you, our donors, volunteers, board of directors and professional staff, we have continued to serve children and families to ensure our vision of safe kids and strong families is accomplished.
This season we are so thankful for our community that embraces our vision of Safe Kids, Strong Families. Through volunteering, donations and advocating on our behalf, our community makes it possible to help so many more children and families in need.

Thank you for making Back to School bright for our kids!
Smiles, giggles and excited anticipation filled the hallways of our Emergency Children’s Shelters this month as the children exclaimed, “We’re going to school!”
“We are so honored to work with members of the CoBiz Financial team,” says Torrie Taj CEO of Child Crisis Arizona, “this event supports the needs of Arizona’s children and will allow us to continue our mission at Child Crisis Arizona of ensuring the safety of children and strengthening of families. This year, we also welcome a new co-beneficiary, A New Leaf which holds special meaning for me, having worked with them for more than 23 years.”
Child Crisis Arizona will expand its Early Head Start program to its Mesa location located at 817 N. Country Club Drive. Thanks to funding from the Office of Head Start, the program will serve more than 100 children and create 30 new jobs, expanding the agency’s workforce to 300.
Beginning June 1, Child Crisis Arizona will bring its renowned parenting workshops to Goodwill Career Centers in Chandler and Peoria giving more families in the community an opportunity to improve their parenting skills.
For 120 years, May 6 to May 12 is designated Nurse’s Week to celebrate the important role nurses play in health care. The impact nurses have on Child Crisis Arizona is something to be celebrated.
