For the seventh year in a row Child Crisis Arizona has been recognized for strong financial health and a commitment to accountability and transparency with 4-stars from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator.
Since 2002, using objective analysis, Charity Navigator has awarded only the most fiscally responsible organizations a 4-star rating. Fifty percent of the overall rating is based on accountability and transparency metrics, which reveal which charities operate in accordance with industry best practices and whether they are open with their donors and stakeholders.
In a letter to Child Crisis Arizona, Michael Thatcher, President & CEO of Charity Navigator said:
“Attaining a 4-star rating verifies that Child Crisis Arizona exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in your area of work. Only 9% of the charities we evaluate have received at least 7 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that Child Crisis Arizona outperforms most other charities in America. This exceptional designation from Charity Navigator sets Child Crisis Arizona apart from its peers and demonstrates to the public its trustworthiness.”
“As a non-profit organization we take the trust our donors place in us very seriously,” said Torrie Taj, CEO of Child Crisis Arizona. “We want them to know we are being responsible with their money and using it to serve children, youth and families in Arizona not only now but for as long as our we are needed. To be recognized for these efforts for seven years in a row is truly incredible.”
