Child Crisis Arizona is home to Safe Place

November 30, 2021

Summary

Child Crisis Arizona is now the home of Safe Place, a national outreach and prevention program that designates community partners as Safe Place locations and uses those locations to connect youth in crisis with resources to help.

Youth ages 12-17 who are runaway, homeless, or seeking assistance for any reason can go to any Safe Place location (where the Safe Place logo is displayed) in Maricopa County and ask for help. The youth will be offered a safe, private place to wait until that help arrives.

Child Crisis Arizona staff respond to these calls and several beds in Child Crisis Arizona's Independent Living Program are reserved for youth in need of a place to stay over night.

All QuikTrip and Valley Metro locations are designated as Safe Place locations. To find the location nearest you, text "SAFE" and your location to 4HELP (44357) or call the 24-hour Crisis Line 602-841-5799.
